I was living in an apartment with my mom and we gave a room to my neighbours daughter (in real life). I found out that Sheila (my ex-bff in reall ife) had passed away and I was devastated. I was crying too much and not able to go to her parents house. I had confined myself to my bedroom. I went to the kitchen to ask my mom if she would drive me to see Sheilas mom and she said that her parents (her dad is dead in eal life) and Dave (her brother who attempted to SA me) had been there. They had brought a lot of food and drinks to console me. I said I didnt know how I could see her mother and was happy they came to see me even though they now her and I no longer speak. I was inconsolable and my mom didnt think it was wise to go over there while i was still overly emotional. So i asked my neighbours daughter if she would be willing to drive me. I told her the drive would only be 5-10 mins. She agreed. As we were going out we received visitors, a husband and wife, who came to console me. She came with gifts and in the gift bag i saw hair extensions. I thanked her but told her I provide education on the harms of extensions in the black community and would like her to have the hair extensions as I no longer wear them. She said okay and we began taking out the hair extensions but there was a lot so i told her it's okay. I can keep it and go through it myself rather than removing a large majority of her gifts to give it back to her. After our visit I went outside and it was sunny and warm (currently winter). I went for a long walk and at some point saw my brother elijah on the walk. I woke up crying over Sheilas death (she is alive in real life) and wishing we had communicated before she passed on. When i woke up i had tears on my pillow
Your dream is a complex tapestry of emotions, relationships, and unresolved feelings. Let's delve into its various elements to offer an interpretation:
Living Arrangement and Neighbor’s Daughter: Sharing your apartment with your neighbor's daughter could signify your desire for community, support, or even a sense of belonging during times of distress. It reflects your openness to comforting connections in your living space, which often symbolizes your inner world and psyche.
Death of Sheila (Ex-BFF): Dreams of death often symbolize significant change or the end of a particular chapter in one's life. While Sheila is alive in reality, her passing in your dream might signify the mourning of your friendship and unresolved emotions, wishing you had mended things before it was too late. This could stem from regrets or feelings of unfinished business with her.
Inconsolable Grief and Seeking Support: Your intense grief and the inability to visit her parents could indicate a fear of facing emotions or situations linked to loss and regret. It might reflect your internal struggle with confronting past issues, especially if they involve emotional vulnerability.
Parents Visiting with Food and Drinks: In dreams, food often symbolizes comfort and emotional nourishment. Her parents bringing food and drinks suggests a subconscious desire for understanding and emotional healing, even from unexpected sources. It could signify your wish for reconciliation or forgiveness.
Dave and His Presence: Given your real-life history with him, his presence might represent lingering feelings of unease or trauma that need acknowledgment and healing. It also introduces complexity about forgiveness and boundaries in reconciling with the past.
Visitors and Hair Extensions: The visitors bringing gifts could symbolize unexpected support and kindness from others. Your conversation about the hair extensions touches upon personal identity and cultural awareness. It shows your advocacy for self-confidence and authenticity.
Weather and Walk: The sunny, warm weather and your walk may symbolize hope and clarity after processing grief and the complicated emotions involved. It represents finding a way to move forward, indicating a journey towards personal healing and peace.
Meeting Your Brother Elijah: Seeing your brother during the walk can represent familial support and the strength you derive from close relationships, further reinforcing the sense of community and shared experiences during trying times.
Waking with Tears: Your physical reaction upon waking highlights the genuine impact of these unresolved feelings. The tears are a literal manifestation of your emotional release, pointing to a need for reconciliation or closure in some parts of your life.
Overall, this dream may suggest a deep introspection about past relationships and emotional trauma, combined with a longing for closure, healing, and the rebuilding of personal connections. Your subconscious mind seems to be urging you to address unresolved issues and seek peace, whether through dialogue, forgiveness, or personal growth.
